Halloween Safety
Halloween can be a time filled with good scary fun, but we need to remember a few tips to keep our kids safe.
In addition to going trick or treating in groups, remind your child not to enter any home without your permission. Also tell them not to approach any vehicles whether they are occupied or not. A car provides a dark place for abductors to wait until they find their victims.
When it comes to costumes, each year there seems to be more choices for young kids. Before you purchase a costume, look for the flame resistance tag. If the costume has a mask, have your child try it on in advance to make sure the holes are larger enough to see and breathe through. If not, make them larger. Using face paint is always a safe alternative if you prefer not to use the mask.
Also back are the glow in the dark sticks, necklaces, bracelets and candy containers.
While getting them dressed, please to over all of the rules and tips in insure your child has a safe, haunting experience. |
